From our miles of sun-soaked shoreline and world-class golf courses to our fresh coastal cuisine and vibrant live entertainment, the Myrtle Beach area is a place unlike any other. That’s exactly what The Sun News set out to celebrate with Best of the Beach — a program dedicated to recognizing the businesses, people, and places that make life here so special. This year, more than 2,100 businesses, organizations, and individuals competed across 216 categories, and the community responded in a big way — casting over 146,000 votes, a remarkable 24% increase from last year. That growth reflects the pride and enthusiasm our residents have for supporting their local favorites.

 

Producing a contest of this scale takes a committed local team, the dedication of participating businesses, and the generous support of our advertisers — and we are grateful to each one of them for making this celebration possible.
